About Worthylake Sports Therapy
We’re a busy sports therapy clinic that is well respected in the area for helping recreational and competitive athletes and active individuals recover from injuries, improve performance, and stay active for life. We take pride in our 1-on-1, results-focused care combining high-quality assessment, hands-on treatment, and exercise rehab (as needed).

We operate out of a beautiful and brand new space in Port Williams with dedicated massage room and open rehab gym.

Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a skilled massage therapist who:

  • Has a focus or interest in therapeutic/sports massage and working with active clients of all ages.
  • Enjoys educating clients and is passionate about helping them feel and move better.
  • Likes the idea of working in an athletic gym setting with a small team vs a large clinic, spa or chain style of setting
  • Values collaboration, professional growth and autonomy to practice independently

Requirements

  • Licensed Registered Massage Therapist in Nova Scotia
  • Registered and in good standing with your professional association (MTANS or MTWPAM membership or equivalent required).
  • Professional liability insurance
  • Experience/Interest in therapeutic, deep tissue, or sports style massage
  • Current First Aid/CPR (an asset)
  • Friendly, reliable, and client-focused
  • Participate in occasional team meetings and professional development activities to stay up-to-date on the latest research and best practices

Your Role

  • Basically show up and do what you love!
  • But more specifically:
  • Determine client needs through assessments and tests to create personalized treatment plans and recommended care.
  • Use various massage techniques including soft tissue manipulation, trigger point therapy, and joint mobilizations to promote healing and alleviate pain and tension in clients.
  • Clearly communicate with clients to explain procedures, risks, and benefits of treatments as well as continued care/treatment plan adherence
  • Maintain accurate records of client treatments, assessments, and progress.
  • Collaborate with other practitioners to provide top quality results for clients
